One of the most quintessential fall activities is visiting an orchard to pick apples or indulge in apple cider, doughnuts, and other autumn treats. Luckily, the biggest apple festival in North Georgia takes place right here in Ellijay, so you can find everything you could ever want this autumn in one place. Book your cabin through North Georgia Vacation Spots during the Georgia Apple Festival to experience the beautiful weather and scenery of Ellijay this autumn.

About the Georgia Apple Festival

For almost 50 years, the Georgia Apple Festival brings two weekends of fun in Ellijay, Georgia. Besides the 300 local vendors set up at the fairgrounds, the lineup for the festival includes the Apple Classic Auto Show, the Apple Festival 5K, and the Apple Festival Parade. The weather in North Georgia is gorgeous, so you won’t have to worry about bundling up for the festivities.
Several apple orchards in Georgia participate in the festival, including Aaron Family Orchards, B.J. Reece’s Apple House, Hillcrest Orchards, Hudson Apple House, Mack Aaron’s Apple House, Panorama Orchards and Farm Market, Penland’s Apple House, R&A Orchards, and Red Apple Barn. Collectively, the list of apples that they grow together is long, but some of the most well-known Georgia apples are the Empire, Jonagold, Ozark Gold, Red Delicious, Fuji, and Yates apples.
